The photo album.
Today has just been a long and tiring day. I spent most of last night and all of today working on my new project, the photo album (now with 124 images!) The biggest help with the gallery was this really great script I found, emAlbum. It still was a lot of work though, since I had to resize and create thumbnails for every single image. I think it was very much worth it though. I’m very happy with the way it turned out. I just hope my bandwith doesn’t completely shoot up now.
When I wasn’t working on the photo album today, I spent it cleaning, taking care of Alex, and trying to relax by watching Joe Millionare, and Joe Schmo (which I’m watching right now.) One of the bigger parts of the day included taking Alex to the doctor for his 18th month appointment. I know I’m a month late on that, but it took awhile to find a doctor. As far as the appointment, however, it was completly pointless. I kept telling the doctor that he was fine and healthy and she ended up asking a billion questions about his eating habits, to his speech, to my pregnancy! Then she told me he needed these two shots, I told her he got them at his last visit and I know because I signed the paper for them. She said that she would wait till his records from the other doctor was transferred to see if he did. Same thing with the bloodwork. She said Alex needed to get tested for lead, I told her that the doctor did that at 1 year. Again, “we will wait on the records.” Is it so hard to believe that a mother could know her childs medical history that well? I can understand its her job to double check, but then she told me that I would have to call the office up to see what the records said, and then make an appointment if needed for the shots and bloodwork. Obviously my time and energy isn’t important to them either. The real problem in all of this? Its hard enough to find a good doctor that will take my insurance, so I might as well stick with them.
