Modern Princess

Too much work.

Ugh. The day is almost over and I’m not finished with all the work I have to do! (Insert scream here.) Lets see, its 5pm, and I’m taking a short break to relax before I have to make dinner, clean up after dinner, unload the dishwasher, then load it again, and mop the kitchen floor.

Wanna know what I’ve been doing all day? Work. Besides my usual give Alex a bath, change his clothes and diapers, and feeding him, it was also our big shopping day. We haven’t gone shopping for anything in weeks (ok, fine we did get milk and juice), and we also decided to get everything we could for Thanksgiving too. So I made a list of everything we needed around the house, and for the big dinner on the 27th. That took awhile. Then after we all got ready, and Alex had gotten his lunch, we were off around 1pm. First stop, Costco. I love Costco. For those of you who don’t know what Costco is, it is a warehouse store that sells almost everything from electronics to clothes to toys to groceries (you get the picture), and almost all of it is in bulk too. Almost because they arn’t going to make you buy 50 palm pilots, 1 is fine, they will however make you buy a 20 pound bag of baking potatos. Which, by the way, we bought today. Along with a lot of other stuff. That wasn’t enough though, we still had things on our list. Like I said, Costco has almost everything. We did have to come home to unload the stuff though, the car was full, and we had stuff that needed to go into the fridge. Next stop, Arbys. We ate in the parking lot because Alex fell asleep in the car and we didn’t want to wake him just yet. Now off to Walmart. Walmart didn’t take too long, mostly we just needed cleaner for the swiffer mop, and we picked up a few more groceries, such as pumpkin pie, and alfredo sauce. Last stop, Giant. We got the last of the groceries, like the hard to find (and expensive) poultry seasoning, and the most important item of them all, a 19 pound turkey that Joe picked out. Finally we went home and unloaded all of that stuff, and put all of the things away, including the stuff from the Costco trip.

It is no wonder I’m so tired. At least the only two items I need to worry about getting for Thanksgiving is celery and salad, oh and of course the house is stocked with all the usual every day items again.

Now, what should I make for dinner?
