Most of the food is bought, except for 3 items which need to be bought fresh right before the wedding date. Luckily those three items don’t need any preparation from me, so it is all good. Really, the only thing that had to be prepared were the lasagnas. Today I made 4 of them and they are sitting in the freezer for the big day. So, the food is taken care of. Catering my own wedding is kind of nice, and cheap. It isn’t the first “party” I’ve planned and catered either, so it works for me. I’m in control.
Yes, I am a control freak.
Sometimes I think of starting my own catering business, since I think I do a pretty good job of it. But, thats another story.
I didn’t get the veil I wanted. I was outbid at the last few seconds. I’m a bit dissapointed, but I’m pretty sure the seller will post another veil on ebay and I’m hoping the third attempt really is the charm.
I did however get my tossing bouquet in the mail yesterday. It is pretty, for silk flowers. Good enough to walk down the aisle in, and yet cheap enough to toss away. I couldn’t be happier. Joe isn’t of course excited as I am about it, but then again he isn’t really a planning kind of guy. He is more of a “can’t I just show up?” kind of guy. It is ok, I still love him though. And being a control freak, it works out that he stays out of it.
Ugh..now I have to clean the house… I put it off long enough.
