Weekend highlights.
Things that happened over the weekend that are just awesome:
1. I saw Brandon and Jack while I was up visiting my mom and brother. Alex got a (very late) birthday present from Brandon. Alex enjoys new airplane very much. Brandon also gave Alex a book, which is always good, and $10. I am considering putting the $10 away for now and maybe putting it towards this.
2. I bought concert tickets to see The Wiggles this August. Alex seems pretty excited and likes to whisper to me about The Wiggles. Of course, I know come August when we get there and he really sees that they are in person he will be jumping for joy! I wanted to take Alex last year, but didn’t get tickets in time, so this makes me happy. In a related note, Teddy called me and asked me if he could forfeit his weekend in August and then pick up Alex during the week so he could take him to see the concert. I told him no and that I already had tickets. Bwahaha. That makes me feel mean, and I got a kick out of it. Even though, it really wasn’t mean at all. Or, so I’m told.
3. Joe’s mother served KFC for Sunday dinner. This was awesome because I love KFC. It was also the first time she served something that I wasn’t either a, trying for the first time in my life, or b, I already knew I didn’t like. Although, to give her credit, she works really hard on making dinner and just thinking of things to serve for dinner. Its not her fault that I am totally ignorant to what is refered to as “camp food.” And, thanks to her, I am less ignorant as the dinners go by, which will be a good thing should Alex ever join the scouts.
