An official date!
Since November 2002 I have been waiting patiently to set an official date of when Joe and I will get married, and it has finally happened! On August 20th, at 1pm, I will be a married woman. Can I get a big woohoo?
The odd thing is, I’m getting the wedding I’ve always wanted. No, its not at a church, it is at the courthouse. Yes, that is what I wanted..Joe wanted the church. Yes, its going to be small with immediate family and close friends. Afterwards we are going to a restaurant of my choosing. Right now I’m thinking Olive Garden or maybe a Japanese place. Not really sure yet, but I still have time to decide. Then when all is said and done, Joe is taking me away for the weekend for our honeymoon. He is planning the entire thing, and the only real information I have right now is that it is at the beach.
There is still a lot left to this wedding though. I’ve got so many details I need to finish. The invitations are supposed to be printed today and I hope to have them mailed by this weekend. I also need to take my dress to the dry cleaners. Then there is making sure that the boys have their ties, and I think Joe wants to buy a new suit. I have no clue what I’m going to tell the girls to wear. I’m not even sure either of them will show. Oh, and my engagement ring needs to be cleaned..and I can’t decide if I want to have it bonded to my wedding ring before or after the ceremony. Either way I won’t have it for a week. Details, details, details.
..but I’m going to love the whole officiality of Joe and I being married though.
