Modern Princess

End of the month.

It is the end of the month which for me only means stress. It is the time in which I watch another $184 add on to Teddy’s child support arrears because he won’t pay. This particular month Alex’s insurance needs to be renewed and I have yet to recieve the letter that lets me know his doctor and all other info is the same, so that has me worried. It is also the begining of August, which means I need to start thinking about making sure the kids have fall/winter clothes to fit them. Last but never least as I have waited a year and 9 months for this, is the countdown to the wedding.

I hate the end of the month.

Last night Joe, Alex, and I picked up my dress and my wedding band/engagement ring set. That wasn’t really a lot of fun, as it was mostly go in, hand them paper, sign a paper, walk out. Afterwards though we stopped at the play center in the mall and let Alex run around and have a good time. Joe and I were talking, but then he pulled out his cell phone in mid conversation to play tetris. I then sat there staring at Joe dumbfounded. It was pretty funny though, once the game ended he looked at me and picked right up where he left off in the conversation. I was still pretty dumbfounded that he could all of a sudden ignore me like that and then act like it never happened. I let it go though, since I warned him before he got the cell phone all about how he will ignore the people around him for it. I’m pretty sure in his mind though, I only specified how he will talk on the phone..so he doesn’t remember me saying “thats only one example of what you will do, there will be other things that will distract you on that phone and its your job to look out for them.” Either way, he knows what he is doing, and if he wants to dig that hole I figure it is his problem.

Yea man. He does that to me too. I just slap him. “Put that tetris away!”. That works sometimes…
