Microwave died.
So, my cheap $20 microwave that I bought at Best Buy about 5 years ago finally died. It happened the day after Thanksgiving. I was microwaving up some water and butter to a boil so I could cook some instant stuffing, and it just shut off. At first I thought it was overheated, because it had done that in the past, but I kinda got the hint that it was dead when it just never turned back on. I guess Thanksgiving and reheating leftovers was just too much for it. 5 years out of a $20 microwave is a good run..and I’m pretty sure I got my moneys worth.
Anyway, all is well! Joe decided to use this event to decide what my Christmas present was..a new microhood! We went out and bought it yesterday. Although, it is still not set up yet, as Joe want to get the help of his stepfather first. So, I’ll have to wait a week. I’m pretty excited though. I know, excited about a microhood? I must be crazy! I’ve wanted one ever since I got my new stove though.
A new dishwasher, stove, and a microhood all in about 6 months time. I’m feeling pretty spoiled. Now all thats left is to get a new fridge and I’ll have all of my dream appliances for the kitchen.
