Modern Princess

It is 3am.

It is 3am and I can’t sleep. Once again my body has forced me awake to make a trip to the bathroom, and once again I just can’t fall back asleep. Ugh. I hate being pregnant.

Of course, I’m going to be pregnant for a little while longer, specifically in cool weather so I need more pants. Unfortunately for me, Old Navy site has been down for awhile (read weeks). Good news though! I checked it tonight and it was up! I guess they want people to order clothes at 3am, but whatever. Anyway, since I worried that the site would go down again I hurried up and ordered 2 of the exact same pair of jeans. It is their extra small short maternity low rise jeans. (As far as I know Old Navy is the only place I can order extra small short, and believe me I’ve looked a lot of places.) I ordered a pair back before summer started when the weather was still cool to try out and see if I liked along with a few other types of pants and fell in love with these. They are so nice and comfy and have fit me so well throughout this pregnancy. So now I will have 3 of them! The other good news is they were on sale too, so I got them at $25 bucks a pop. Which is actually less than I paid for my first pair, but those were on sale too at $29. Hey, maternity clothes is damn expensive! After adding some much needed maternity underwear and a maternity jacket, both on sale, my total came to about $100. Like I said, maternity clothes are damn expensive!

The good news is that after I combine this last maternity shipment with all the stuff I bought previously and all the clothes Andy’s mother gave me (Yeah, I forgot to mention she gave me a huge load of free maternity clothes. Mostly I could only use the shirts though, pants were of course too big because I’m short.) My maternity wardrobe will officially be complete and I’m pretty sure I won’t need to buy anything for the next two pregnancies. Then I’ll be able to give it all away to some short girl and pass on the madness that is maternity clothes.

I hope i am the short girl who will receive all of the maternity clothes when you are done with them. I’m sure my husband won’t be giving me another baby until well after you are done having babies.
