Modern Princess

Stop growing up, please.

Can Aidan just stop growing for one second? I wish he could. A couple weeks ago he couldn’t even crawl forward. In fact we weren’t sure he would ever crawl forward. Since then he has learned to crawl forward, sit up on his own, pull himself up, and he is cruising a little too! He hasn’t even turned 8 months yet. This can not all be happening. Lets not forget about the other growing up things. His first tooth has finally broken through, and it looks like he has another right behind it. He also has a new fascination with clapping his hands, and I’ve caught him from time to time practicing the “pincer” grab. That means he is almost ready to eat cheerios. Cheerios, people!

How could he do all of this in a weeks time? How?? Can’t I just enjoy him at one stage before he moves on to the next? What is up with this sudden boom of abilities? I can barely keep up and take pictures of it all. He better at least wait a month before he starts walking, otherwise I think I’m going to cry. I just want to enjoy him as is for a little while..

(Yes, that is all of Joe’s wires and stuff. My husband, the packrat.. *sigh*)

I totally know what you mean. My baby is 5 months old and she’s growing up too fast! I try to live in the moment and really take notice of the things she’s doing now so I won’t forget them later. Aiden is so adorable!
