Thursday Thirteen #6
Thirteen things that make me realize my head hasn’t exploded yet. 1. I can still hear the crying from the sleepy baby.
2. I can still hear the “Why is he crying mommy? Why is he crying?” from the older child.
3. I can still hear the “Watch me! Watch me mommy!” from the older child as I make the baby a bottle.
4. I can still hear the “Is it time for a movie now mommy? Can I watch a movie now?” as the older child remembers my promise from the night before.
5. I can still see the older child’s uneaten breakfast sitting on the table.
6. I can still see the dishes that need to be washed sitting in the sink.
7. I can still see the older child trying to keep the baby awake so they can play together.
8. I can still see the older child timed out in his room.
9. I can still feel my head pounding from the first headache of the morning.
10. I can still feel my eyes being rubbed in an attempt to stay awake.
11. I can still hear the “Mommy is my time out over?” calling loudly from the bedroom.
12. I can still hear the pounding of my feet on the floor as I rush to the bedroom to hush the older child from waking up the baby.
13. I can still feel my forehead resting against my laptop as I wonder why the morning has started off like this.Links to other Thursday Thirteens!

Sounds worse than a hangover! That’s the only time my head ever felt like exploding — after a binge. It’s felt like imploding at times, though.

Yeah, i feel for you. What you need is someone to come and give you a day off. Sadly, you’ll probably have to wait at least another 15 years before you actually get one:-(
I’m counting the days personally….. only another 5000 to go;-)

I feel for you! I know what you mean.Sometimes my head hurts so bad I just want to
!
My favorite with my 3 and 6 yo is the tattling! Josh did this or Katelyn did that…
I just don’t want to hear it! And the waking the baby up ,gets me too! You think watching a movie would keep them quiet. HA, they’ll find something to argue about! LOL!
I agree, sounds like you need some time out! The dishes can wait!!!
Have a great Thursday!

Oh how I remember those days, but they do pass. Of course, then they turn into teenagers! I received some good advise when I had 3 girls under 3 years old and I thought I would go stark raving mad. This older lady told me to relax and enjoy them because the time passes so fast and there gone. I tried refocusing on the pleasures rather than the stress. Everyday was still filled with both, but somedays the scale tipped more into the pleasure side. So it turned out to be good advise.
Thanks for the visit to my blog.
