Many updates.
Who? Me? Not updating? Well, yeah. I think that is pretty obvious by now. Heh. I’ve been busy concentrating on other things in life. Here is a rundown:
- Aidan is preparing himself to take his first few steps. He has really great balance and can stand on his own for a few seconds. He has also been known to let go and take one step to get to another object that is really close.
- Aidan also said his first word, short of ma-ma and da-da that is. Alex. It comes out as Al-eh. So cute. Although it is a rare moment he says it, and I believe I’m the only person who has heard it. Which drives me crazy because I’m afraid others (namely Joe) is just thinking I made it up. Of course it is rare that Aidan says ma-ma too, as for the most part all Aidan says is da-da. He is truly a daddy’s boy.
- I’ve been planning and preparing, as much as I can right now at least, to get Aidan and Baby Girl baptized. Hopefully this will be happening on November 12th. I need to finalize a few more things still before I can set the date in stone and send out invitations.
- I went to court for another child support hearing. I learned two things from it. One, Teddy will never have to pay child support and no one in the legal system will do anything productive about it. Two, it seems as if Teddy is serving two 6 month sentences back to back and should be in jail till at least May 2007.
- I did a big cooking day last weekend. I ended up making 23 dinners that I now have stocked in the freezer to use after Baby Girl is born. I feel it was a huge success, and actually somewhat enjoyed it, that I’m planning to have another cooking day in a little over a week. Hopefully it will also round out the dinners and give some more variety.
- My pregnancy is going ok. The doctors are concerned about my lack of gaining weight, and yet in the same breathe they are also concerned about the baby being too big. Which doesn’t make a whole lot of sense. I will most likely have another ultrasound done when I hit full term in about a month. It has also been implied that if it is estimated that this baby will be bigger than 8 pounds 7 ounces (my largest baby I gave birth too..Alex) that I will have a c-section. You can bet I’m going to fight that tooth and nail, as I seriously do not trust their estimations nor do I trust their judgement on what my body can handle.
- I’ve been spending a lot of nights laying awake and getting on the computer out of boredom. I’m just so uncomfortable all the time, and combined with Aidan teething, sleep is nearly impossible for me. So I decided to make the most of my time and do a pregnancy project. I’m going to work on a baby book (ok, yeah, scrapbook..) for Alex. I’ve ordered the stuff I need online and I’m hoping it gets here by Saturday. I’ve already got a few ideas in mind for a couple of different pages I want to do and I’m pretty excited to get to work.
I think that is mostly everything going on/that went on in the last couple weeks. I’m feeling pretty tired now, and since Aidan is napping, I’m going to try and see if I can catch a quick nap too. Edit: Ok, nevermind. He is awake. No sleep for me.
