What was I thinking?!

Can somebody please tell me what the hell I was thinking when I decided to start college? I’m only taking two classes, but man its hard finding the time for it. Sleep has officially become a thing of the past. I can’t really do anything during the day because I have the kids and Joe. It is nearly impossible to get some time to myself between all of them. There is always someone who needs/wants something. Take last night for example. Zoe was hungry, and Joe agrees to feed her so I make her a bottle. As I’m going downstairs to deliver the bottle to Zoe, Aidan sees it and then gets jealous so I end up making him a bottle too. After handing it to Aidan, Alex realizes Aidan got some milk, so it is back to the fridge to make him a glass of milk. I come downstairs and Joe wants a soda. Ultimately I decide hell, I might as well get myself a glass of iced tea while I’m at it. I have three seconds to drink it before I have to go do something else. Thats my life, seriously.

Anyway, back to the topic of school. I have resorted to studying after the kids go to bed. Which would be fine but Zoe refuses to go to bed at a decent hour. She prefers to stay up till 10pm. As a result I’m up till 1am reading and doing my other assignments pretty much every single night. Shortly after I do go to bed Zoe wakes up hungry and then wakes up again a couple hours later. Finally the kids wake up at 7am. So I get less than 6 hours of non consecutive sleep a night nearly every single night. I’m beyond tired at this point. I’m flat out exhausted.

Hmmm…Minus the demanding kids and husband, throw in working 3 jobs and a ton of other activities, take into account a few allnighters (sometimes in a row) multiply all of that by 1000 for stress and yeah that sounds like college! You’ll get through it Amy! You’re tough, you sound like you run a tight ship in that family of yours, I’m completely confident in you. Boy do I know once you set your mind on something, you make it happen! YOU CAN DO IT!
