Bathtime for Aidan and Zoe.
Normally each kid gets a separate bath. Andrew, Alex, and Aidan are just so far apart in their ages that it just works that way. Especially when you consider that Andrew is going through puberty, Alex can give himself a bath, and Aidan is a toddler and needs a lot of help. Also, Aidan and Zoe are different sexes, so it just never really occurred to me to bathe them together.
Till tonight, that is. I was trying to save time because I knew I had a lot of school work to catch up on, so I figured I would bathe them together. Things worked out really well for awhile. They were laughing and playing and having fun together. They enjoy each others company, so it was no surprise they were thrilled to be in the bath together. Near the end of the bath Aidan was standing up in front of Zoe dumping water all over himself to rinse off. Zoe, while sitting, reached up and grabbed his penis. I guess it was at eye level and caught her attention. Or, maybe she has penis envy? Either way, Aidan did not appreciate it. He immediately jumped, dropped the cup he was using, and spent the rest of the bath covering his penis with his hands. It was pretty funny.
But I’ll never give them a bath together again.
