Christmas is under way.
Well, now that Thanksgiving is over, Christmas is officially under way around here. I’ve managed to get a good start on it too. I did the holiday cards over the weekend, being sure to mail them out, of course. And today I started and finished Christmas shopping for the kids, without ever leaving the house. I love online shopping! For years I have contributed to the reason why they call today “cyber Monday.”
We don’t get the kids much quantity wise, usually we have a 3 gift limit per child. This year we had a budget of $200 for all four kids. Which some families would probably freak over as they are used to spending $200 on just one child, but I see as a fun challenge to make the best of Christmas. After thinking it over, I decided to break it down into a few “big” gifts the children will love, rather than a ton of little gifts that would just drown in the sea of toys they already have and don’t play with. I think the kids will be really happy come Christmas morning. Alex and Aidan will be getting a tool bench and a train table, both complete with accessories. Andy will receive an mp3 player (that is built for children), and a dvd. Zoe will be getting a baby doll play set complete with stroller, highchair, and even a diaper bag filled with accessories. Total spent is $189. I couldn’t be happier!
Still left to do is decorating the house and buying gifts for the extended family.
