Modern Princess

Easel v. Walls.

I bought Alex, Aidan, and Zoe an easel. For $35, you just can’t go wrong. I would say its for Andrew too, but even though I haven’t gotten it yet, by the pictures I’m guessing its too small for him. That boy’s tall! I also got a roll of paper which feeds through one side. My plan is to make one side short for Aidan and Zoe, and the other side tall for Alex. Then I’ll just tear off paper and use the clips to hook it up to the other side as needed. I didn’t get the paint set to go with it. I figured that we have enough chalk, stamps, and crayons around here to use from and thats messy enough, thank you very much!

My hope in buying them an easel? That they will stop coloring the walls! Washable crayons, my ass! More like scrub until your hand hurts and then maybe you’ll only be left with a faint coloration crayons. Seriously, our walls are pretty bad and could use a fresh coat of paint. However, that won’t happen until we can be sure that the kids won’t just re-color them again. Hence, the easel. (Of course in Alex’s defense he did grow out of that stage, so he isn’t so much the culprit anymore.)

Which will win the children’s hearts over, the easel or their already beloved walls?
