Happy Thanksgiving Prep Day!
Wow. Been a long time since I posted, hasn’t it? Can I use the excuse that I’ve been busy? I’m a new tiger den leader, which means that I’ve got 10 boys counting on me to organize a fun filled year for them. And along the same lines as cub scouts, I volunteered to be the new website coordinator for the Pack. Due to the fact that the owner of the site wants to shut it down and to the fact that it is a flashback from 1995 (when I believe it was created and no one ever updated it), I get to create a brand new site! I’ve also got classes up the wazoo. On top of the 3 classes that I’m taking at the college, I’ve also been taking training courses from the BSA. These classes teach me how to be a den leader, youth protection, and weather hazards. Then there is DAILY LIFE.
But now tomorrow is Thanksgiving, and although I’m still busy, I’m posting. So maybe it isn’t that much of an excuse, huh?
You know I just now realized how much cub scouts has taken over my life. And I didn’t want to believe Joe when he told me it was a lifestyle, and when you get sucked in you REALLY get sucked in. I guess the good news is that he never said “I told you so.” I would have.
